Prior to joining Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency as an instructional technology consultant, Mike was an elementary teacher at Sibley-Ocheyedan and Adel DeSoto Minburn interested in innovative and authentic use of technology. He has a passion for STEM education, pushing for powerful technology integration, while coordinating innovative STEM camps and increasing teacher capacity to deliver authentic STEM learning in the classroom. Mike has training and experience with robotics, 3D printing, problem and project-based learning, coding, classroom economy, Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW), and standards-based grading. He is interested in makerspaces and their ability to encourage student agency and creative problem solving.
